Silong tayo sa Marikina: Silong Restaurant

Silong is a tagalog word for shade or shelter. Filipinos say 'Silong tayo' when it's raining to avoid getting wet or when it's sunny to avoid the hot shade of the sun.

In Marikina City, there's a restaurant named Silong. 🍽

Mr. John Carlo Mansilla, the owner of Silong, wants to bring back the Filipino Culture by building this restaurant and he really did a great job! The ambiance really has the Filipino Vibes. Pinoy Power!! ❣

You won't be boring here even if you're waiting for your meal. You can take pictures and the restaurant provides coloring pages and coloring materials for you to use. Plus, you can post your artwork in the wall. How cool is that!

Filipinos are born to eat rice and this restaurant is for you guys!! ❣

Their food is really great and it really applies the concept of the restaurant. There are foods in the menu that have twists like the Adobo, which is combined with pasta. There are a lot of choices which is good. Plus, the price is very student-friendly. Food reviews are in each photo. ❣

Also, their best seller is TAPSILOG (Tapa, Sinangang, Itlog) and it is only for 49 pesos!! :)

How to go: 📍 From Katipunan LRT, ride a jeepney going to Marikina Bayan. Depart on J.P Rizal St. then walk to Silong.
