One of the good news is this is only in metro manila!! It's only in Maginhawa, Quezon City. We can be a mermaid in Maginhawa! Be Aryana, Dyesebel o Shim Chung ng Legend of the Blue Sea in this cafe. Legit! <3
Review 📝 Ambiance: The place is really awesome!! Feels like you are really under the sea. There are boats at the ceiling which you will feel like you're under the sea. There's a coral wherein you can pose like a pretty mermaid. Although, the place is a little bit hidden because there's no big sign in their restaurant but there's a sign that Under the Sea Cafe is at the 3rd floor. If you don't know that it exists, it looks like a party and everyone is just trying their costumes. We suggest to have a signboard at their entrance.
Service: We went there around 7pm and we think that the crews are a little bit tired but before we billed out, we saw smiling faces and they became very accomodating. Maybe it's just because of the crowd.
Food:
The foods were okay, a bit pricey BUT it also has a theme, which is under the sea. You feel like you're in the beach because of the menu. Some of the plates are also a boat, perfect for their theme.
Important Notes: 📍 🔖 For every minimum of purchase worth 150 = 1 mermaid tail for one person 🔖 Observe proper etiquette while inside the cafe. Do not stand on the seats 🔖 Take off your shoes when wearing our mermaid tails and when stepping on the sea floor. 🔖 Wearing mermaid tails while eating is not allowed. There's no time limit, but please be considerate with other customers. 🔖 No flash photography
How to go: 📍 From EDSA, ride a bus/jeep/fx going to Fairview/UP/PHILCOA. Drop off at PHILCOA (landmark: Ministop), then take a red tricycle going to 80 Maginhawa (same building with Rainbow Dreams Cafe).
